On Saturday August 22, Tempus Aircraft teamed up with Urban Peak to sponsor Urban Nights, an evening of high fashion and charity to benefit Denver’s homeless youth. The fashion show and cocktail event took place at Mile High Station and was supported by some of Denver’s most chic boutiques. Stephanie O Designs, Mona Lucero, Kimono Dragons, and Goldyn were just a few of the designers who came together to support the cause.
Proceeds from ticket sales as well as a well stocked silent auction, garnered over $50,000 toward supporting services and aide for the local homeless youth population. Tempus Aircraft is proud to be an ongoing supporter of this incredible cause. Tempus Aircraft was also honored to be the official Urban Nights Launch Party sponsor at Centennial Aircraft where a beautiful PC-12NG was on display for the crowd to see.
About Urban Peak (Source: UrbanPeak.org)
Founded in 1988, Urban Peak is the only non-profit organization in Denver that provides a full convergence of services for youth ages 15 through 24 experiencing homelessness or at imminent risk of becoming homeless. Their goal is to help these youth overcome real life challenges and become self-sufficient adults. They do this by providing five essential services at little or no cost to the youth (youth in housing do pay a minimal rent each month):
- Overnight shelter
- Daytime drop-in center
- Street outreach
- Education and employment programming
- Supportive housing
Their goal is to meet youth where they are and to provide them with the assistance and support they need to become self-sufficient or obtain the necessary services they need to exit a life on the streets. Urban Peak’s programs and services are founded on the principles of trauma-informed care and positive youth development and assist youth in reaching their potential and living a successful life off of the streets.
