For the pilot that has always wanted to experience the cockpit of a Pilatus PC-12 or has been waiting for a detailed test flight critique of the changes for the 2016 model, pilot Mike Gerzanics has written the review you’ve been looking for. Mike is an experienced pilot ranging from the F-16 to the Boeing 747 and flight test reporter for new airliners and business jets. The article, FLIGHT TEST: Upgraded Pilatus PC-12 powers ahead, is an account of Mike’s recent demonstration flight of a 2016 PC-12 NG and a comparison of the improvements made since his first PC-12 test back in 2004.
Pilatus hosted the demonstration out of Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport (KBJC), the home airport of the only Pilatus completions center in the United States. In the piece Mike elaborates on the technical details of the PC-12 and gives a brief history of the evolution of the aircraft since its launch in 1991. He refers to the PC-12 as “…the Swiss army knife of aircraft,” a title that we think is very fitting.
